I’ve loved animals as far back as I can remember. Growing up, my best friend was a bichon frise named Charlie (named after the main character in my favorite movie at the time: “All Dogs Go to Heaven.” I also had a menagerie of other pets in my parents' small New York City apartment. At one time, I had three parakeets. one guinea pig, one turtle, several goldfish, one cat, and two dogs. Currently, I’m the owner of a smart and handsome mutt, Fred, who also has some pretty intense separation anxiety. It was through researching methods on how to treat canine anxiety that I discovered Who’s Walking Who and their apprentice program. Through my apprenticeship, I learned to use positive reinforcement training methods to help my dog work through his anxious behavior, and learned how to help canine clients through various daunting tasks like how to walk on a loose leash to how to jump through a hula hoop. I’m looking forward to continuing to help Who’s Walking Who clients and their humans forge healthy relationships.
